We know that price changes are never welcome, but like many other businesses we’re experiencing increased costs. Gigaclear is making a considerable investment in building and maintaining a full fibre network to bring faster and more reliable broadband to rural areas and small towns often overlooked by others. Given this background we have taken the decision to raise our prices by between £1.50 and £3.00 per month.
The new prices will take effect on the bill sent in April covering the period of April through to May with dates depending on your billing day.
The next direct debit following your April bill will be for the new amount. This is likely to come in late April or May depending on your billing day.
Unlike many other providers, our price changes are not directly connected to the rate of inflation as part of your contract.
If you are still in your minimum contractual term, you have the option to cancel your broadband contract within a period of 30 days of receiving notification of the price rise.
Your bill can be found by logging into our customer portal:
Visit www.Gigaclear.com
Click on “My Account”
Enter your username and password
Note:Your username is your customer number followed by @Gigaclear.com. For example, C000000@gigaclear. com. If you do not know your customer number, you can find it on your broadband order confirmation document or your monthly bill. Alternatively, click on “Forgot your username?”, enter your email address, and we’ll send you a reminder.
We will give at least 30 days’ notice of any price change on your bill. This means that the first bill after our notification of a price change (received in March) will still refer to the existing monthly amount you pay. The new monthly price will be applied to your bill from April and onwards.
The price of your broadband will change by the amount stated in your price change email. You will notice that the value of your discount has been decreased by the amount stated. The duration of the discount will remain unaffected.
We have decided to not apply the price change to the cost of these add on services. The price rise only applies to the broadband service on the bill.
Your pricing for Home Phone, Smart WiFi and any other services taken will remain the same.
We hope that you will want to continue to be a Gigaclear customer, but if you’re not happy with these changes and you want to cancel your services, you can call us on 0370 2249 192 to process the cancellation. If you’re within your minimum term period, call us within 30 days of receiving the notification of the price rise to avoid early termination charges.
We understand that this is a tough time for many people with costs rising for many different household essentials. If you cannot meet the payments on your bill then do contact us to discuss payment options.
One opportunity to save money might come through our Home Phone Service. You can transfer your existing phone number to Gigaclear and then cancel your previous service. It could save you a significant amount of money in line rental, but do check that you are not still in contract as contract termination fees may apply.
