Project Gigabit is the UK Government's £5 billion programme to bring gigabit-capable broadband to the parts of the country that commercial providers wouldn't otherwise reach — mostly rural and remote premises where the cost of building a network privately doesn't stack up. BDUK (Building Digital UK) runs the programme and part-funds the build. As a delivery partner, Gigaclear uses that funding to extend full fibre into communities like these that would otherwise be left behind.
