Important Information about Price Changes

We review our charges annually and any price changes take effect from 1st January each year. Any increase in price will be limited to 2% above the Retail Price Index in June of the year prior to the January in which the increase takes effect. We will give you at least one month’s notice of any changes to our prices and you will be entitled to contact us to terminate our contract without penalty if you do not agree to accept our price changes.

Installation options

Gigaclear provides a connection point at the boundary of your property and the highway, you then have 2 options to perform the final installation to your property.

Option 1: Independent Installation

Some of our Gigaclear customers connect their homes to the ultrafast fibre network independently – it’s that easy and of course there is no additional cost to do so. We will provide you with an instruction guide and your independent kit, which includes the router and cables and other accessories items.

The following cable lengths are free of charge when placing an order:
10m, 15m, 25m, 35m, 50m.

The cable lengths below are subject to a charge when placing an order.
75m – £48.00
100m – £68.00
If you require a replacement cable you will be subject to a charge

Option 2: Gigaclear Approved Installer

If you choose this option your installation will be carried out either by one of our own Gigaclear installation teams, or by one of our trusted partners, who carry out installations on our behalf. All installers work to our agreed standards using our approved equipment. The amount you pay for our installation service is banded according to the installation service you have ordered and is shown on your order Confirmation.

Installation charges are calculated according to the distance from the Connection Point to the entry point of the cable at your property, and the type of ground the cable will be laid in. More information about the calculation of our charges is contained in Your Gigaclear Installation Guide. Bands A – C are fixed cost installations. Band D is for special projects which must have a bespoke survey and costing. See below on fixed installation charges for residential products.

Band D installation criteria

This applies for installations:

• which are over 100m between the connection pot and the router; or
• which require hot lay tarmac to reinstate the ground; or
• where more than 10m concrete or tarmac area is required to be reinstated; or
• where over 5 metres of block paving or flag stone is required to be lifted and reinstated; or
• some other unusual surface that will need specialist skills to lift and reinstate.


Our sales team can help you to decide which band applies to your property. If you are not sure and would like to arrange a survey (where you do not fall into Band D), please contact our customer care team to discuss the cost of the survey and make an appointment.

If you know that the installation for your property will require over 100 metres of cable, or the installation meets any of the Band D criteria, please let us know at the time of booking, so we can arrange a survey for you prior to your installation.
